Re: New Wrap Installed !! (JandB Fishin)

I'm not trying to sound like a d!ck, but they didn't do your sponsors right.

The boat looks cool, but that picture was taken 10' away, and the only logo I can make out on it without staring is Exit Reality.

There's a ton of wasted space there, personally I'd make them start over from scratch and redo it.

The whole idea of a wrap is to get x number of impressions per mile, no one will be able to read that on the highway.

Again, not trying no be a jerk, just giving my opinion..

Well, when you have several sponsors that want to keep it simple, then pay you good for what they want in size and the colors they want. Wouldn't you do as they wanted and take their money for sponsorships or try to look cool then loose several hundred dollars of fishing funds. This wrap was designed and installed with logos added, this was done so they could be easily changed if they wish to at any given time......like I said their happy, so CHA-CHING I'm happy>>>Thanks for your oppinion! This wrap was the first for me, after it was installed it's like buying a new car/truck after a while, if I had it to do over it might be a little different.

Nice. They paid for it and they like it. Then on to the lake. yes I think some of it is small but like you said you can change it if the sponsors want a change.

Sneezy's cat is sharp Sir.................and legible close up and at a distance. Your wrap looks great, just hard too read. Easier to read and I would think that the sponsors would get more bang outta there buck. But, if they are happy then all are happy....................Sharp boat bud........................RR

I don't have a wrapped boat. When you post pictures and ask for opinions, that is what you get. No one bashed it, or anything near that. You got an opinion, and thats all it is. If you don't want them, then by all means quit asking for them.

I used to design and install wraps and my opinion is the people advertising wasted their money. If you can't see it from 5' away what's the point of it? Just because you got paid and are happy who cares. And wow, to say lets see pictures of your wrapped boat. I'd rather have a plain boat than a wrapped boat with small advertising just to say I have a wrapped boat. You can make the ads bigger and still wrap right over the top of them so they can be changed out.

    Re: (cehlert)

Looks like someone just wanted a wrapped boat. I would have just had big stickers made and saved some money instead of that. Just my opinion.

Re: New Wrap Installed !! (The Green Hornet)

    Thanks Hornet,
That's correct, they are happy and it looks better in person. It's paid for and has already produced some returns for them. So....I'm not complaining. I knew I would generate some good & different opinions. That's the best part, the real kicker is this.....minus their ads, my 16 yr old son designed the main wrap, I had a good friend print it at his sign shop, then I installed it myself. Yes, I did want a wrap but not for advertising(as it turned out), but the fishing funds were low and they wanted to help. So! I put what they wanted ontop of my sons pretty design. I haven't ever installed a complete boat wrap until this one. I decided to do my boat last year when I examined the BASS guys here on Kentucky Lake. Even though their wraps are better than most, they still carry some flaws. That's when I decided to wrap it, mainly to protect it from objects......this past weekend it saved my Stratos from a major scratch.
