    Hose Rigging

Anyone retro fit the hose type rigging for their motor wires. If so how did you secure the hose into the boat side opening? I believe 1 3/4" or 2" would work. I can slip it over the motor housing but I'm not sure how to secure the hose into the boat.

I used shop vac hose. Cost around 20 bucks I zip tied it at the motor and to the rubber boot on the boat.

Did you just cut a slit in it and wrap it around? Is it tie wrapped or anything?

    Re: Hose Rigging (slimshad)

Mike at Bunch Marine hooked me up with the Mercury factory kit. He said he has a lot more. The kit is for 2 3/4" hole on the boat and comes with all connectors.

Doc that hose looks way cool. where did you get it? Did you see any in red? I'm so inexperienced at these kinds of things but trying to teach an old dog (me) some new tricks. Would love to put one on my boat (black n red Champion). Any help appreciated
    I think there's a Squatch in these woods !

    Re: (Joshthebadbear)

I didn't cut it ,I wanted a complete look so I unhooked all the wiring going into the engine on that side and pulled it through, then re attached all the wiring,no cable ties and fit real snug and tight on both ends. Didn't see any red but wasn't really looking needed blue,I think it matched the motor and boat pretty good.
