My dad and I started on it today. We got another 20XD we are picking up in 2 weeks. Taking the cap off of it to replace this one, The hull is trashed on the other. I know the cap doesnt look that bad in the pics but it is way worse than it looks. Had another boat run up over the starboard side from the front to the transom!! The console is cracked all to hell and pushed down about 2 inches. Some guys try to fix it but they did more harm than good.

I will keep updated! Good thing about this one is transom and floor is solid as a rock. I do know that Bullet makes a tuff boat. The cap was solid to the hull in so many places!! When we took the cap off of our Gambler restores it was a breeze compared to this one!! Will be going to finish taking cap off one night this week. Our goal is to have it done by mid March.
looks like a great boat to fix up..Take a few more pics of it when the rest of the top cap is off. Be interested to see how these speedy boats are put together

Picked up our other 20XD today in southern TN. Hull is trashed but cap is in awsome shape and all ready to take out. Going to dads in the morning to take some pics and pull off cap. As good as shape that the hull and cap are in might not take as long to finish. Still a long process but I wanna take a ride!!!!!!!!!!!

We got the rest of the cap off today and cut the bad section out of the side of the hull. We will replace that section with a section from the other hull we just picked up. Here are a couple pics. Didnt take any of the other boat but i will post next weekend!!

No i don't they were cut when we got the boat. I do have the dry storage boxes.

Started to strip off the paint. Paint stripper works well, just start scraping as soon as the paint bubbles because it does soften gel coat. So far so good. I was scraping while dad followed with the DA sander. Found a few stress cracks on the gunnel. Once hull is gelled and we set cap we will grind into the cracks and lay new glass.
Hope to see this one get finished off. Going to be a sweet rig. Those bullets look fast sitting still.
What is wrong with the 2nd hull. Looks like it's in good shape.
The 2nd hull has about a 2' by 5' hole in the port side and the transome is cracked from the top to the pad! We cut out a bad spot in the hull we are using and plan on cutting the piece outta the second hull to replace. The hull we are using was hit by another boat on starboard side and some guys TRIED to fix it with particle board 1 layer of glass and a gallon of resin!!So the second hull really wouldnt be worth keeping and trying to fix. Its gonna be what I practice shooting gel on...
