I am about to refiberglass a small area in the bilge of my blazer and the entire compartment is coated with a black and white splattered paint. Does anyone know what kind of paint this is? Any info would be appreciated.

If it is factory it more than likely not paint but just white gelcoat shot from a spray gun and then had a spatter nozzle of black gelcoat shot over it..
You can do the same ifyou have access to a spray /cup gun...or brush on the white gelcoat and then spatter the black on with a brush.
more than likely it is basecoat (gelcoat with a alot of wax )then the black is black gel with webbing solution added........ your best bet is to do like basscat7 says webbing solution is hard to get your hands on........ or redo the entire area in a undercoating it will all look the same that way.......
The area I will be refinishing will be under the gas tank so am not really worried what it will look like, just want to make sure I have the right stuff on it so I wont have to worry about it. Thanks for the help.
