Quick Question 250 pro XS (Power Trim)

It seems when I am loading the boat on the trailer(motor tilted about 1/4) and I gun the motor the power trim will drop back in the down position. Should this be happening. I know my older Mercury 2002 never did this if tilt was up and I gunned the motor to run the boat up the trailer the tilt stayed in the same position.
(? does the new motor have some sort of pressure valve)

I think it will do it if you get beyond the max trim and in to the tilt which is normal when loading. My ProXs did the same thing.

The trim system on your engine is equipped with a Hydraulic Safety Mechanism that prevents an "over-trim" condition at RPM's above "approximately 2000 RPM's".

If you accelerate above 2000 RPM's, the trim is forced back down to the position "at the end of the short trim RAMS" (and out of the tilt range).

    Been this way for DECADES.

    Oh ok thanks..
It just did not seem that my older 225 EFI did this.. But I guess it did.
