Ive seen on new tritons that around the edge of the carpet is a black rubber edging, does anyone know what this is call and how it is applied. I think it makes the carpet job look alot better

Not sure what it's called, but mine was held on with adhesive tape and pop rivets.

The material is called Trim Lok. You can find it in widths of 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2.
Mine is also glued and rivoted on the corners.

The edge trim clips over the carpet edge and the fiberglass lid edge and holds the carpet in place. Also it is used on any sharp fiberglass edge to prevent scratching your skin.
