    Lake Texoma for Stripers 6-23-2007

Loaded in at Soldier Creek about 7:00 AM. We fished until 3:00 PM from Alberta Creek to close to the dam. The water is rising but was reasonably clear in the area's we fished. We watched for birds and also tried channel edges trolling. Finished with one nice fish. Didn't see any other fish caught by the boats close by. Water was 75 degrees when we started and rose to 79 degrees by the end of the afternoon. Fished mostly with Chart/Wh slabs and Chart Sassy Shad. Found lots of fish on the depth finder, but could not make them bite.

Can report the Cheeseburgers with homemade onion rings at Alberta Creek were great!!!

One nice fish for the day. Didn't see anyone in the surrounding boats catch anything. It really is ideal if you can go during the week. One of our friends told us Sunday that he was fishing in the Red River arm and caught four on live bait.

I am not sure but Mike Sousa can probably tell us. I don't fish Texoma as much as I use to. When I do, I seldom get past the Roosevelt Bridge.
