    Awful day on Sunapee

nhbass and I fished the NH BASS Federation Open on Friday...fishing but no catching. Thought we had a good pattern lined up for the day. Looking in 20-35 ft of water, dropping Silver Buddies into bait...wrong! Caught 1 11 1/4 inch smallie and that's it. Fished 4 inches to 40 feet and everything in between. Nada. To top it all off, my new Dobyns rod witha 1 yr old Daiwa spinning reel attached, somehow blew off the boat. Got up at 2:45 Am and drove to the lake, arrived back home around 6:30 PM exhausted. Had some Shannon Door Pizza, 2 cold Buds and crashed. Got up this morning, ate and went and caught some fish..feel better now.

The winning weight at the tx was really impressive-4 fish limit and 25.55 lbs! All Largies, biggest one well over 7 lbs (think 2 were). First time on Sunapee, seems pretty good, but you couldn't prove it by us!

Sorry to hear that Jim, did you forget to strap the rod down?
Could you tell me who won?
Better luck next time. Hang in there.

Sorry to hear that Team Rockett.
Having rods go over the side happens to everyone, myself included.
I have lost 2 setups in the last 8 yrs.
Wish it was a less costly rig.
We'll be pulling for you on the next outing.
