Me and Jim fished Burchard for 6 hours. The wind really really howled which made jerkbait fishing tough. I caught 1 on a jerkbait and he got 4 on a trap. Nothing bigger than 2 lbs or so, but it was nice to get out. Water temps were running 45 - 46 mostly. We couldn't really slow down and try anything else due to the strong west winds.
BTW - Beaver Lake is ice free today...............
sure was great to wet a line. Burchard has plenty of water and lots of grass already

Great job guys! My club's first tourney is on Burchard on 4/16....but I've never had the chance to fish it. I'm going to try and get down there a couple weekends before and have a look!
Fished Walnut Creek today for a couple hours until we (almost) literally got blown off the water. Caught 2 dinks, one on a Jerkbait and one on a shakyhead with a shakylicious.
