Humminbird pc issues with google earth

Good morning, I'm having a little trouble with the Humminbird PC app on my Windows 10 desktop. I uploaded all my trails and waypoints in GPX format, but when I click on Google Earth after selecting a waypoint, nothing happens. I have Google Earth installed and have already uninstalled and reinstalled it, but the issue persists. What else can I do?

I can't get Google Earth to link with HBPC since the GE changed their site a few years ago.

Thank you Wayne, Now if I wanted to separate my waypoints by lake how would be the best way to go about this now?

(I don't know which lake x are from and was going to use google earth to help me with that )

What I did was list the waypoints in order by coordinate numbers either latitude or longitude (click on the arrow at the top of each column on HBPC) and verify by looking at them on the unit chart view.

I haven't been in Humminbird PC in quite a while so I just tried this.
Rt clicked a waypoint and chose View in Google Earth, and it worked fine.

To those that cannot get Google Earth to work with HBPC since Google Earth updated itself to Google Earth Pro ... :

When you choose a waypoint or GPX file and click the Google Earth icon in HBPC - are you getting a popup that says something along the lines of “destination file cannot be located. Do you want to navigate to the file ? No / Yes “ ??

    If so, try this ...:

In the popup (in HBPC after clicking the Google Earth globe), choose Yes ... windows Explorer should open ... navigate as follows ...:

This PC/OS (C:)/Program Files/Google/Google Earth Pro/client ... (your navigation may be slightly different dependent on your Explorer settings ... but you still have to navigate to this “client” folder to open all the files for Google Earth Pro to find googleeearth.exe) ...

Double click on “client” (if it did not automatically open the GE Pro files in the right pane) ...

Find in this list googleearth.exe (not googleearth.exe.local) ...

Left click on googleearth.exe and Google Earth should automatically open in HBPC ...

This action should only have to be performed one time, as HBPC should now know where (in Explorer) to initiate Google Earth from ...

I can only surmise that HBPC was written to find the .exe automatically in Google Earth ... but not to find it automatically in Google Earth Pro (because HBPC 4.6.1 was written before the release of Google Earth Pro [again surmising]) ...

If my unit is on the boat and not easily accessible, the only option is to write down the latitude and longitude of a few points, then check the chart view on the boat’s graph to see where they’re located. From there, I’ll note the positions, return to the computer, and make the adjustments.
    is this correct?

Sorry, Wayne—this might be a dumb question, but how can I tell from the latitude and longitude when the waypoints switch to a different lake? Is it obvious? I’m planning to write down each group of waypoints before heading out to the boat, but I’m not sure where to stop if they belong to a different lake.

Just go by the numbers of the ones that are close to the same. Use the unit to establish the North and South end of a body of water. Then the East and West of that body of water. Then just match the ones that are within those boundaries.
