I believe everyone will get what they want, just like the split. Everyone that is the 1%. Crash, gripe, break it down, until it is nothing but an echo chamber of a bass club just to be heard. The only difference this time is choose which YT influencer you want to try and crash after this. There is nothing left. Thanks. The 1% is allowed to crash everything. I haven’t fished in over 4 years because of the split and buyout. Oh, I had to choose a side. WTF? What I had or felt comfortable was gone in the buyouts. I missed fishing and came back this year. I had hoped the whiny babies were gone and I could just get back to being me. I enjoy what is there, while getting my butt whipped. My mindset is, more I get whipped the faster you grow. 80% of the old guys like me that are actually donating, don’t mind the butt whooping. It is the experience and the last “competition” we can do at our age. The technology is here. The young guys are here. What happened to this website? Be men, unless you are a woman. Read this whole thread again, not YOUR post, but actually read the whole thread again and tell me how you expect any of them to make it without starting over from scratch?

My opinion ffs has peaked in tourney’s and more and more leagues will be limiting or banning it. Cuz it’s not fishing its spotlighting and makes the sport super boring. I have it, and it’s useful but I enjoy figuring them out with a variety of lures and locations.
Since when did we ask the younger generation to learn what the older generation dealt with? Are we making kids learn to saddle a horse because that's what they used to do in the old days?

Also, I would say it is way more comparable to a cell camera. It doesn't coerce the target into cooperating like a spotlight does on a deer. It just shows presence in real time. Comparing it to a cell camera isn't quite as flashy or attractive though because those are legal in many places.

I think all of them will be just fine. You quit fishing because of what some other men do for a living?

Is that what I said? You think? But, to answer your question: no. I didn’t feel like I had a place to go and / or enjoy for a while. That was all me. Maybe, I needed a break. Coming back has really been fun. I’ve enjoyed the butt whooping, the old like me, and the young.

I have definitely heard a few some of them say exactly that on live recently. That they aren't casting unless they see a fish. Heck, half the time they on that trolling motor wide open just looking for the next one.

Can’t do it can you? Don’t worry, you’re not alone, I am terrible with it, but hate that people think it should be banned or use derogatory terms like “Scoper”

Some are good flipping - Denny Brauer
Some with a crank bait - KVD
    Spinner Bait - Rick Clunn
    Finesse - Arron Martins

Using live scope is no different, just a technique.

It's not derogatory! It is a fact. There are two groups in fishing. Trust me I had it and do just fine with it! I just chose the NPFL route bc I like to fish not stare at a screen!
Just a technique?? OK! It's all fixing to change and get shook up and we will see how it all settles.

I hear you, I applaud the NPFL for their stance. The reason is not because I am against FFS, but because they are trying to build an organization and it makes sense to set your self apart from the competition.

Good luck out there. Will be interesting to see the changes coming.

I listened to one of the owners on BTL or Mercer, seemed like a great guy. I am pulling for them. I like their You-Tube stream too, easy to find on any device.

I said years ago that technology would be the downfall of bass fishing. Now one technique is dominating due to technology. The weekend angler thinks they need $10k to $15k in screens to compete. Add that to $85k+ for a new boat that the kids can’t afford to purchase. It’s no wonder why every lure company and boat builder are now consolidating under 3-4 brands / holding companies. With consolidation comes less sponsorship dollars to stand out. Go back to the days of 150hp max BASS TOURNEY boats people could afford and the industry grows again. Individual unit profitably drops, but unit sales would increase exponentially. Shorter / narrower boats really dont perform well with heavy spot lock and heavy graphs on the bow. The downfall is people thinking they can buy success off a store shelf without time on water to learn the what’s and whys.

These kids are buying success with very limited experience and changing the world of bass fishing without having much knowledge of bass behavior.
I'm sure each and every pro will agree with this except several of several of our keyboard warriors who know more than the pros.

I will agree VA BASS with one small caveat.

I get your point, and if they go back to 150 / Footers that would be fine, but I am not getting rid off mine. I don’t fish those types of events anyway, I enjoy my hobby and like the stuff I have.

I do enjoy watching the major series too.

Funny thing is that if FFS wasn’t available I wouldn’t even want or miss it. Facts are, what’s on TV sells.
