Possibly.....but there are so many factors to consider when talking hull to hull. From what I have seen from both hulls, I believe both are very similar when it comes to hydrodynamics. The Caracal being a deeper hull, IMO, is less aerodynamic than the Puma. I really think both are so close, it would depend on load, HP, and driver ability as to which one is faster. If the new Lynx STS is a lighter layup, I think it might be the fastest STS hull.

We don't expect the Lynx STS to be faster, because the grillage is similar in weigh on the deck assembly. Early a a staff member was quoted as saying it would be about 150 pounds lighter, though that is not factual. Weights are very similar, and the large storage arrangement in the middle is going to give users the ability to overload the front of the boat. We actually think that most Lynx STS models will be slightly slower due to that variable tackle storage situation. If one watches the tackle distribution in the storages, then it could also be fractionally faster, in decimal points.

Yeah, I based my comments off of the earlier reports of the Lynx being a little lighter layup.
