Pretty sure that working turn signal is a factory defect OR the driver isn't used to "BMW things".

Several years ago, it became a law in Kansas, that if the weather requires you to use your wipers, then you must turn your lights on..

Many reasons for all the issues you guys are referring to: self centered, oblivious to what's going on around them, as stated stupidity also ranks highly. Around here many don't use their turn signals, pull out in front of you, burn their lights when the sun is shining and others slow to turn them on when it begins to get dark, raining, or foggy. Go figure.

Aren't cars about 100% equipped with automatic setting and they just automatically turn on when it gets dim enough outside?

With today's vehicle prices, a lot of people are still driving vehicles made prior to when automatic everything was put on. My 2007 Ram does not have automatic lights. They still must be turned on manually.

I'm glad my 2007 GMC Sierra has automatic lights and wipers. Big convenience.

in Ohio. It’s a law if your wipers are on your headlights must be on, but nobody follows it and the cops don’t push the issue either that I’ve noticed

Same law here but I don't believe it is enforced at all. You'd think regardless of the law they would want to be seen in the rain.

The best way to know is stop one and ask them at 3AM in the morning or you could make a citizens arrest.

Yep they get a free pass on everything and simply do what they want.

I see that too. I pondered why the police do not make a point to ticket for improper light use but then I noticed that they are amongst the biggest culprits.

Very few people pulled over in the rain. Cops to busy working accidents. Or just don’t want to get wet writing a ticket.
