    PUMA STS Spare Prop Storage

Where is everyone keeping their spare prop? I haven't found a good spot interested to hear what others are doing.

That's where I've always put mine, you might have to wiggle it a little, but it should fit!

I have never carried a spare prop and never had a situation where I was glad I did for the main engine, trolling motor sure? Ohio lakes are a shallow and dangerous as anything and I’ve never tore a prop up enough that I couldn’t get back to the ramp at least.

Up here in Montana you better carry a spare prop, the closest ramp might be 30 miles away.

Put mine in back passenger compartment since no one uses it anyway. Also have some plastics and stuff I don't use that much

Spare propellers come in handier than spare trolling props. Hubs, blades and impact all affect them.

I was originally able to tuck mine in a prop bag on the shelf area between the port gas tank and the outside wall of the hull. Tight fit. Now the gas tank has expanded a bit and I can’t fit it anymore there. I will try under the passenger seat like someone suggested. I’ve had to use a spare only one time few years ago and I was a lonnnng way from blastoff. It made many years of carrying one and never needing it well worth it that day.

Spare props in the boat is good to have as long as you have the tools to change it also, lol

I keep mine in compartment behind passenger that can be locked. I keep a torque wrench and an extra spindle nut assembly as well.

A 24 or 25 Tempest will fit nicely under the passenger seat along with all the tools and some other spare stuff (trolling motor prop, pump cartridge). Much easier than getting a Fury in and out.

I can fit a fury 25 or 26 with tools under the passenger seat (Caracal STS), but it has to be rotated in, it's like one way in, one way out. You just have to figure out the rotation. It will definitely fit.

Apparently, you’re not using ghost trolling motors they have the worst prop ever!! The load from my cover broke one in half and it was brand new never used

Never carried a spare, til I slung a blade. Now wont leave without a spare. Under passenger seat. Only one way they go in there and one way out, once you figure it out fairly easy.

To add to another post about not forgetting a torque wrench, also a block of wood and an extra prop nut and washers.
