    Xplore GPS issue

I recently installed an Xplore 9 and I am continuously losing gps fix with the units internal gps. The puck needed for external gps is not for sale yet. Suggestions? I requested that humminbird contact me but have not yet. I will try again tomorrow

Are you on the latest firmware? There were GPS fixes in the updates that got released since January, specifically v5.100.

Drakestar is correct. You need to be on the latest update. There were GPS fixes in it.

Having a new unit doesn't guarantee you to be on the latest software. No way to know how long it has been in the distribution channel or warehouse.

I guess minor is in the eye of the beholder. If I have to re-setup everything it is not a minor thing to me. If they respected our time and effort they would respect the setup many of us do to customize it for our personal use. SAVING YOUR SETUP HAS BEEN AN OPTION FOR MANY YEARS, if it ever was able to be recovered they could update every day if they wanted. Sorry for the CAPS, but I bought my first Solix with that in mind. Yes I have bought 2 more since!(Apex & a G3) I am a stubborn old man!
