DMV where thier are no 5 hour wait ?

My son and I were coming back from fishing Friday afternoon, went by the dmv in Greenville, my son asked what was going on. There must have been 40-50 in line OUTSIDE the office. This is a big office too. Glad I don’t have a reason to go there soon.

That was a small crowd ! The places i have been to looked like a line to get in a football stadium LOL.

It didnt use to be that bad here, i dont know why its that bad here now ? I heard they are privately owned?
Maybe they are privately owned everywhere?
In Mocksville Nc where i tried walkins several times thier were only 2 people, one takes lunch at 12 then the other takes lunch at 1.
Seems like they need 1 more person to help out.

I've always heard good things about the one local to me in Bolivia, NC at the government center. Looking at the towns you've mentioned it might be a little far though.

Even though i have an appointment I am still going to see if i can get in as a walkin this week.
Just to be safe! I set my appointment for 8:15 am so hopefully it works out.
DMV has been a Serialist Nightmare Lol.
If I knew Bolivia nc would be an easy walk in and out to get a liscense it would be well worth the drive !

Wife and I sat in Mooresville for 4.5 hours as there were no times available anywhere near us. Took so long we ordered uber eats to bring us a sub from a local place so we did not leave and risk losing our place in line. Total and complete BS that any public agency should have this kind of backlog/wait or be that inefficient. But...we got er dun so now that is behind us fortunately but man what a PITA it was....

Problem with me is i dont ride by any dmv's to know the lines are backed up 10 blocks LOL

Got my liscense !
Almost didnt though , computers were down and credit card machine down and they were running behind.
They got the computers up but was struggling with credit card machine.
They told all of us with appointments using credit cards we would have to go to an atm machine to get cash and they would try to save our spots.
Thankfully i had Cash on me and i got to move up in line!
So if you go to get your liscense TAKA some CASH !
