    So this may be a little longer then you want but it is a lower cost rod. The Cory Johnson 7’5” Elite AGS rod would be really good at this! It’s very balanced and sensitive. You should give Gary a call at the Tackle Trap. He would know about the P5 and the elite rod. They give great advice.

    And probably lighter and more sensitive than the Dobyns Champ Extreme.

    He did not give me any advice when I asked about a rod

    The X-Bites is amazing, so is the Steez AGS Sensor. Both are far superior to the Dobyns rod in terms of sensitivity as most everyone else on the thread has already stated. You'll be very happy with either rod for your applications.
