Went fishing... was planning to get home in time for some of the afternoon coverage and the weight, but the fishing was good, so I stayed on the water lol... Just got done cleaning up the boat, going to grab some dinner soon. I'll check Fox for the early bites, and the weight should be up on the website soon I suspect.

Stated before, but really happy for Kyle, just a good, down to earth guy. I recall watching his original videos back when he was rigging his couple year old ranger, first season probably - back when nobody knew who he was so he probably wasn't getting a ton of sponsor calls... Was building his own rods back then too. And Hunter was/is adorable too.

Many of them were pitching to stumps also but evidently not in the right location.

again I like Kyle Welcher , watched his videos for years , but winning by that kinda margin is prob overall not a good thing ! We can circle back late fall , I got a hunch big change is coming in the top tier tourneys !

bass has had 3 reg tourneys and 2 of them where over the 3rd day , I just don’t see them being thrilled with that but I’m just a redneck !

And again, what does that have to do with FFS? Every single person has it. Hell BP won while playing bumper boats with everyone using ffs.

I went for a hike to Tinkers Cliffs this morning. SML has been packed with boats due to a Cabela’s Big Bass Tour event so it was a perfect spring day to hike.

Also happy to see Keith Combs with a Top Ten, and improved his position on Day 4. Kind of a Journeyman-type, good to see him getting a top finish and grabbing some points.

what are the results? That somebody won a fishing tournament…yes, it would be the same

that one person out of 100 would have an incredible tourney….possibly

Why? This wasnt some new pattern, its been going on for a few years on different places. Other guys were doing it this weekend and lots were using it in other ways. He just found the right place at the right time when others didnt. Im far from a pro and ive done the same patterns as him and Fothergill on rayburn with good success and with failure. I highly doubt this changes anything

this tournament is probably one of the more interesting that I have followed since being able to follow tournaments in real time…. It’s mind blowing that he’s going to win with a 45+ lead over second!!

his pattern strongly reminds me of when KVD won the classic here at lake Cat… everyone ran off far and he won 15 minutes from the launch…. But it was a perfect storm as he was in the right place at the right time when the big fish moved up….
According to his record.... KVD was in the right place, at the right time more often than not.

without it he would not have been able to dominate the way he did. plain and simple. He used it to find bedding fish when you couldn't see them with your naked eyes. not saying it's right or wrong but that is what it is. I will say this, I believe that a lot of great fisheries were because some fish never got caught and could live and spawn in peace. with ffs there are lot more fish caught and moved around and disrupted than ever before. Again, right or wrong that is what is happening. Nature is a natural resource, it does not replenish like other resources. It can't be produced and restocked at the rate that it would need to be to continue to give. Think about deer hunting. You could kill every doe on your property in one season, I promise you it will be several years before they bounce back. Spawn tourments have always been debated and now with ffs, I think the debate will end with the results in the near future. If ffs is your thing then have it, but only time will tell what it will do to a fishery. I guess we will see in a few years

Yes. All the lakes will soon be fished out and the flat bills and square bills may have to take up bowling instead.

it was really hard to determine what Welcher was looking at when they showed his screen. He’s as dialed in as anyone using FFS.

So you don't see the bass at 23 feet?

different fish in all lakes of course but it is crazy how many different fish are swimming those waters they are fishing .. like randy howell said fish were all over the screen he assumed a lot were trash fish by how they swam/acted.. thats another thing too, know what are bass and what are not, size etc.. if Welcher saw a small one he kept it moving
