Like the title says, I'm putting together plans to build a garage this spring and 24x24 is probably the biggest the town is going to approve for this site. During the winter months I want to have the boat pushed all the way to the left side, the daily driver on the right side, and the Kubota in the middle. The tractor will be used for clearing the driveway. Would you go with a 16' door? It seems like that would be a lot easier than trying to get the tractor in and out otherwise

That is definitely a concern. 3 x 8' is the entire 24' so I might have to put the boat in storage if it doesn't leave enough space. I have a couple of other options for juggling things around that might work but until I actually try it, I can't say for sure

That what I was going to say. I have my boat in one bay and my 68 Camaro in the other (two 8' doors). My 500cc 4wheeler fits between them but it is tight. If 16' if the biggest door, I'd go with that.
I guess since you need a tractor to clear snow, you don't use the boat in the winter. It might be OK if it is almost touching the wall and you don't need to get it out. I guess during fishing season, something will sit outside?

If you had 2 10’ doors that would leave a foot on each side and 2 in the middle. Not the sure the length of the car and Kubota, but if they could fit on 1 side that would seem like a good solution.
I'm doing the same thing right now but going with a 30x50 that will have a 20x30 mancave on one end with a 12' overhang. Then a 30x30 storage/shop area. 2 10' rollup doors on one end and a couple of people doors to get into the garage and mancave.
I just built a 16x30 enclosed pole barn. I have my bass boat and a 4 wheeler next to each other. I still have a couple of feet on each side to walk. I say build as big as possible. I have a 14’ wide 10’ high door. That’s the biggest I could build with the area I had to work with. Also gave me room for all the fishing and hunting gear a toolbox and I can pull my f250 inside if I move the boat out of if I ever need to work on it in the winter. I can turn on the propane heater and let the door down. I also had the contractor build an over head storage area with 3 sheets of ply wood on each side that can be accessed with a ladder.
I've built a few, i prefer a 16' wide door at least 10' tall. I'm in the process of pricing and 32x50, amazing the cost compared to 7 years ago.

Yep, the single 16' fo sure!! We bought a house 2 years ago that had a detached 20' x 20' with 2 garage doors.... I had the company extend it out 10 more feet to make it a 20' x 30' and change to a 14' x 8' roll up door. My Vexus 2080 fits great in there and my zero turn too...... BUT when we got a Polaris SXS it took up too much room so we built a separate 18' x 20' for the zero turn and the Polaris.... Like guys have said, it will be toooo tight for all that next to each other! I just got in a garage door opener for the roll up door, will get that installed this week!!

If you ever plan on upgrading to the wider boats they make now you will want a least a 12 foot door.
They won't make them over 8' - 6" wide. For anything wider a permit will be needed to pull it on the road.
