If I am understanding what you are calling pixelation, the tiny white lines, I believe that is interference that is coming from my jackplate especially when my boat is bouncing or turning. It is minor and doesn't affect my ability to see anything. I can turn down the sensitivity but I prefer the added detail.

    Thanks for your efforts Marc.

Re the “likes”, when i click on the video in this thread it opens in the browser, not fully in YouTube as such and didnt have the like/subscribe options visible, so maybe thats why lots of views and not so many likes.

Anyway I went and opened in YouTube and liked it there.

And compliments on your excellent production, very professionally done.

Did you happen see how it looks at speed, on the plane?

The issue with M Chirp on TM150m was that at almost any speed other than drifting or idling, the image turned dark blue and lost all definition (thats the best way I can describe it). Was un-useable. Changing to a custom frequency and all returned to normal.

I will upload 25.1 to my Elite FS9 and report back the results, but from your video it looks promising.
My TM150M is mounted on my jackplate, so I can only use it at slow speeds less than 10mph or so! I mostly view it at idle speed in forward gear.

I really should not post this screenshot as it was literally taken within seconds of turning on the unit. I after making adjustments the screen was miles better than ever before, I just didn't take any screenshots then. Next trip!25.1ScreenShot .jpg

Understood. I use mine at all speeds, will see how it goes. Hope to get the boat on the saltwater in a couple of days time.

I was under the impression that TM150M was not meant for high speed 2D scanning. But I’ve been wrong many times before

Not real sure what you mean by high speed scanning but….

My boat is not a bassboat, its a heavy plate aluminium 18ft cuddy cab saltwater fishing boat with 18deg V hull. DF115B Suzuki. Maxes out at about 35 knots. Typically cruise at around 25 knots.

Used in estuary, bay and offshore ocean out to around 120M depths.

Have run TM150M for about 7 years or so in all depths and speeds, and in some very ordinary conditions. It works very, very well. Had to put a screw in the mounting bracket to stop it kicking up in rough conditions, thats the only mod.

Just got on the water after update and side scan and down scan is now awful. White blur/fuzz all over the screen. Adjusted anything I could find and no better. It’s pretty much useless.

    ^ You're in 42+ feet of water, on a 100ft scale, in 800kHz.

Of course the imagery is going to be less than stellar.

800kHz is best at ranges of 40 feet or less.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I prefer the lower frequency in shallow water, even on my HD 3-1. The high frequencies are always really dark no matter where I set the contrast.

It seems to vary but I’m thinking maybe all the pollen on the water maybe was affecting it. If I put it on 455mhz it’s to dark. It has always been clear as can be on the settings it was on.

That's the thing with all posted singular images; a viewer can never be aware of all the conditions and contributing factors that affect the image.

Pollen, plankton, sediment, boat speed, cross winds, and thermal stratification all can play a large role in how and what will be displayed.

We just got a new Pro for the new boat. Downloaded via SD card Carbon, 3 Lives and a Pro. Only on the Pro does it show the "update message" twice during start-up. Confirmed that version number is running. Small bug I'm sure that will work itself out. A week before I can get on the water to see if a live run to the transducer changes anything.

We shall see. Keep Calm and Carry on folks.

No Joy 2nd time around. Fresh download, and even went from 18 to 21 then to 25 in case it didnt' like making that big a jump... but 25 definitely kills the SS3D temp for me. In Data sources it will show Temp... 70.xxx... and invalid, and of course as soon as you touch it, it disapears. I even did a factory reset on the HU to see if any difference, but no change.

No idea why, but guess I'll stay on the old reliable v18.

Mine looks like this too post upgrade. Not happy at all. Looking for the previous versions now so that I can downgrade.
