I am really hoping it is an updated P2. Right now the P2 is the oldest boat in the lineup, unchanged besides consoles and maybe a slight revision to the seat pan since 2007. A lot of little tweaks could be done to bring it up to the current age of bass fishing. I have an 08 P2 and have voiced some of the revisions I would make if I were able to do so. Better bilge access, make the rear deck more like the premium line of boats, better cooler step lid layout so you can incorporate tool holders, cup holders mounted in the corners of the cockpit, larger cup holder on the bow to accommodate a yeti style tumbler, small day box up front with a removable tray to give you better access for electronics rigging on the bow. Strap a 200R on that bad boy and go for a rip!

Might put mine on the market if these wishes come true.

You can't tell me these lines aren't what you see when that garage door rolls up.

Bass Cats are great boats but they missed the intro date a little in my opinion. They
should have had the intro in October or so not March. As many guy’s have already
gotten new boats for the year. Can’t wait to see what it is.

Over the years they have done their new boat reveals either at the Bassmaster Classic or at their Excelence In Action meeting in late July. This new boat will likely be in production for a soft release in the 25 model year but will ramp up for the 26 model year.

sure looks like a p2 from head on.....hopefully a P2 STS with the beam width forward design of the pantera classic and the "traditional" deck layout of the P2.

They completely quit making the Sabre, so I doubt they start making an 18fter again. I was really surprised they made that move though.

I have not fished from a Bobcat, but I did compare my old Sabre FTD to the hen Margay. The 17'er had more front deck space at that time. A Bobcat with a 150 should suffice most people looking for a 18.

This with a 225hp rating would be a hot seller. The extra hp should keep speed about where everyone is used to seeing for the P2

It's time for an upgraded 19-footer from Bass Cat. They already have enough 20 foot + models and many people don't need a boat that big or expensive. If that's what they are doing I hope Rick offers a more symmetrical layout instead of all the weird-shaped compartments on all their newer models.

That console looks better than the new consoles does to me. A new P2 would be a great boat.

If they do anything in the 19' class I hope it's something similar to a P4 but rated for a 225. P2 is a great boat but P4 is better in every way except for speed. 225 would fix that. Had a P2, have a P4 now

You blow it up and you see a MLF decal on the front of the console for which BassCat has no longer been a sponsor of for a year or two.

I do not think it will be an Eyra STS. The 20 foot hulls and the non STS Caracal need to have a slight indenture in the hull to accommodate the trailer fenders. This one does not look like it needs those cut outs so it makes me think this one has Pantera or Sabre lineage. Could it be a Pantera 5, Pantera STS, Sabre II or Sabre STS? It could be a totally new name as well.

The photo I posted above is from their webpage and is the current offering of the P2 console and that photo has been on their site for a couple years. I was comparing the head on shot from the video to the head on shot of the P2. I agree with 06 SB on it being Pantera lineage, very likely a Pantera STS.
