there will be some slightly used pro staff boats for sale soon.
Video wouldn't play for me but I've been in some nasty stuff. That's how my first boat got a pair of 4' long cracks in the hull and console graph mount broke in 3 pieces. I was also young and dumber. What I didn't know at the time was it had some stringer damage likely from a previous owner too lazy to pull the plug and freezing Temps busting stuff too. Was a charger 195vf so can understand because the plug was way under there. The school of hard knocks shows no mercy. These days I'll run some bad stuff but will try to ease through it.
2023 Xpress H18 with 115 SHO that's optioned to fit my wants and pulled by a little Ram.
Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Just smile and walk away.
Cue the, “it’s not windy in Texas and we don’t have waves” guy…
"Y'all DoNt KnOw BiG WaTeR"
Every Rayburn or great lakes guy ever.
This lake gets nasty. This was the worst wind direction for a spring tournament here. It has the whole lake to build up steam to get to the creeks.
I saw several guys headed to the service yard. Hopefully nobody tore anything up too bad. Even idling in waves like that will tear stuff up here. Come down on one stump just wrong and you're borrowing a boat for the rest of the week.
I've seen a lot of dumb stuff on this lake since 2020, this takes that cake. Nobody should have been out there today.
That looked REALLY bad for that boat and trailer. Wow.
Someone posted elsewhere that they had been out possibly helping rescuing someone else.
that was ugly and nasty
Tyler Williams made comment that was his truck pulling Treys trailer. Trey called him cause he got caught up on bad part of lake. Tyler went and got his trailer to try and get him. He said waves were so strong bouncing off ramp they nearly pulled him under when he tried to get out and help get boat on trailer.
Wow![]()
Slightly off topic but what are the official practice days for the Classic? Navigating the BASS website can be frustrating.
Yep. It happens here just like that on a regular basis.
He wasn't the only one out there practicing today. Several of the pros did so and all got caught in the wind.
I'm still pretty embarrassed that someone sat in their truck and filmed it instead of offering to help. In this part of the world people are pretty friendly and helpful so that was not the norm for us.
