    Harley Ensign Ramp

Have they started the rebuild there ? Will it be closed this season ? I know the alternatives in the area but am curious about it. Last time I was there the Sheriff's Station had been removed.

The Sheriff's Station is done that was a different project funded by the county with federal funds
They postponed the redo of the site sighting the cost and time of the Crocker redo being almost double and have not announced a new starting date
The plan was to do the park/walkway out on the point first but after cutting down all those trees they just stopped and that was several years ago - looks ugly now

They are starting bridge replacement. A temporary bridge is being put in so they can build a new one. Site renovations are delayed until the new bridge is complete from what I heard.

Can we still get to the launch? Thinking of heading out Monday to try for some walleye and that will be the only launch still not iced up.

Are they finally replacing that janky bridge that was on the verge of collapse for the last four years?

Yes the dredging company removed all of the junk boats and cleared the lot so they can install a temporary bridge while they build a new one. Going to need a lot of patience getting to and from the ramp when it gets busy. One lane road about a quarter mile with a traffic light.

Went there today just to look at the ramp and water clarity and they have both the lots cleared and the foundation of the temp bridge done on one side

they have portable traffic lights up on either side of the bridge so pay attention

    Update

The temporary bridge is open and they has already removed the old bridge

At this pace they should be done in a month or so
