Come on Fatboy, there are enough boats there as it is! Not to sure how to get there from Ocala but if you start in Palatka, head South on HWY 19, you will pass over the barge canal, then the Oklahwaha (sp) river, you will pass a couple of entrances to Ranches on the left and an RV park / Trading post on the right. Not to far after that there will be a small Grocery Store on the left, right after that is the entrance to the ramp on the left, there is a sign but if you blink you will miss it. The road to the ramp is a small dirt road that leads to a 2 boat ramp. The fee to launch is 4 bucks. Total distance from Palatka is about 25 miles. If you have a map of lake George the Springs are on the Northern part of the West bank. Another good area that might be worth a look is the Silver Glenn Springs area also on the West bank but further south. I like drop shot rigs and small craw baits, the water is extremely clear and gets alot of pressure this time of year.

Blazer, You got some good directions above from Palatka!
Get a map and look for SR19 going north on the west side of Lake George from SR40. You will see Salt Springs. Just as you come into Salt Springs from the south on SR19 you will see a tackle shop on your left, The road leading to the ramp is directly across the road from the tackle shop. Salt Runs a beautiful place but can be frustrating if a lot of people bother you, Sight fishing's the mainstay but also take some Repalas and trickworms! Good Luck and let us know where and how ya'll do!
