    2025 SMX Season

Who is ready to see things get underway this Saturday at A1?
Who's on top in 250W and who is going to stand on the top step in the 450s? Does Jett run and hide with this year's title or will Tomac and the boys have something to say about it? 250's could be interesting with Deegan and Forkner both lining up for the west coast....not to mention Shimoda and Smith.

Pretty cool to see a late SX round come to Pittsburg.....finally a SX event within 2.5 hours or less!!!!

    I'm counting down the days!!!!

SMX Misfits if anyone wants to join an open group on RM ATV Fantasy. I think I earned enough RM Cash last year to get 3 free t-shorts......so why not?

Excited for it to start. Jett has to be favored to repeat by a large margin. Although I’d love to see Ken Roczen finally get a championship, I feel he’s more than paid his dues.

But realistically I don’t see anyone getting around Lawrence.

As much as I kind of hate to admit it, it's hard to bet against Jett running away with it.

I think Deegan will take the 250W.

No matter what happens, I'm here for it like every year!

Will these races still b on CNBC? And how much faster are the 450s than the 250s in lap times? And could a 2 stroke even keep up with these new 4 strokes? Thanks for any info.

    Deegan will take the 250W.
I expect to see Jett take the 450s but sure hope someone gives him a run.
There are a lot of guys that I think can do it mainly with Tomac and Kickstart Kenny, I would also throw Webb in there but I think i read somewhere he was hurt, but cant remember exactly.
They are saying in some things I have read the last month or so that Eli did a huge amount of training as is as fast or faster than he was years ago.
Who knows. Lot of things can happen

Nobody is going to best deegan unless he gets hurt. Probably the same for Jett. I hope the 450 is competitive. Tomac says he feels like his old self and I expect Webb to be in the mix. Sexton might have something for Jett but I would put my money on Jett.

Webb isn’t hurt and Kenny really doesn’t have a shot at the title. I don’t think he is in anyone’s top 5 to have a shot at the title. He has the speed to win a race but he has to many other issues to be considered to be a title threat

    What about Hunter?

405s and 250s can have very similar lap times depending on the track design.

Two strokes get their asses handed to them on the start and you have to be absolutely perfect on a two stroke VS a four stroke on timing and line selection. A 4 stroke will help cover up mistakes because power is instant and very linear. Two very different machines to ride.

nobody rides a 2 stroke anymore except a couple privateers who never make the main.

I just hope there is more of a mixup.
It gets old and boring just watching Jett win all the time.
Last season I spent more time watching outdoors than Indoor just because Jett was out.
No doubt the kid has huge amounts of talent but it just gets old watching the same person win every race.
Was the same for me years ago when Ricky and James were winning everything.

I think Lawrence may have some competition from his own brother. But I’m sentimental pulling for Roczen, the guy has more than paid dues, bad breaks etc. He deserves some good luck. I was there in Nashville when his rear shock blew out, he was riding pretty well up until then.

I am looking forward to this season. I think it is going to come down to chase sexton and Jett Lawerence for the 450 class and as long as deegan stays healthy he should have it. I also Pray that Forkner can keep it wheels down and complete a season. Forkner is going to triumph this season, so he has to potential to give them a win. I feel he will crash and get hurt again as he has no grip strength in his left arm, which is why he had is bad crash last season.

Forkners crash last season......I thought he was done. Especially with some of his social media blurbs that he put out there. Hoping for the best for him as well.

The sounds and the smell can't ever be replaced. A crisp two stroke with some Maxima Castor 927 and some Sunoco 110....one of the best smells ever!!!

Never raced but we used to use Bell ray. I think is the name of the 2 stroke oil.

Hard to bet against Jett in 450s but it's Supercross... Friese can (and often does) happen. Sexton will keep him honest, and Eli may steal the 'W' at a couple venues. Hoping AP can stay consistent and contend for a win(s) as well. It'll also be interesting to see how Prado does as a SX 'rookie'... I believe he'll adapt quickly and be in the hunt for top 5s and possibly a podium or two.

Hate to say it, but 250 West is Deegan's to lose. I'll be pulling for Levi, and I REALLY hope that Forkner can keep the Triumph on two wheels... he never lacks for speed. Hampshire will be near/at the front again this year.

250 East is loaded as well. Vialle will be tough, but I'm going with McAdoo for the overall. Yamaha teammates Anstie and Thrasher should also be in the mix. Casey Cochran on the GASGAS could be a dark horse contender.

Ready for the season to get underway!

Oh, and Bel-Ray and AvGas were my 'odor' of choice.

***Just read where RJ Hampshire and Casey Cochran are both injured and won't be on the gate for A1.
