    Mobile Delta?

Just wondering if it has been slow for anyone else? I am going to start trying some new areas further up river to see if maybe the bass moved up there, cause i can't seem to locate them them anywhere below I65. I just moved here, so far not too impressed with the delta. Maybe it is just a timing thing, not sure. But I am used to fishing tidal rivers, and have yet to put more then a few fish (1-2) in the boat on any given trip.

The delta is rough fishing this time of year, especially right now, with all the lack of rain. The salt water is steadily making its way northward because of the lack of rain. Once we get a good bit of rain to push the saltwater back out, fishing should pick up a little.

Fishing should be OK on the north end of the delta, and possibly the middle delta. I haven't been in a couple of weeks, because my wife is pregnant and is due any day now. I'd hate to be out on the water and her go into labor.

Im a native of Mobile and have not fished the Delta that much, I have always fished up the Mobile or Tensaw river putting in at Mt.Vernon, this time of year, you will be hard pressed to find any fish in the lakes down there unless you shoot for a top water bite early in the morning, then when it starts to heat up, move out into the main river and target points with running water.

Glad I moved to Birmingham, fishing up here alot better

Well I am going to start trying some places up river about 10-30 miles north of the I65 bridge, some decent looking areas up around where the albama river comes in, so i may do some scouting trips up there in the next few trips. Will post to my rports.
