    MinnKota ulterra question

I have been reading up on trolling motors with the plan to upgrade my 12v system to a 24volt . I plan to get an Ulterra with MDI and i-pilot link. Or at least i was planning. It seems that currently no one has one of these motors, and the boat shop guy says he suspects MK is letting inventory sell down before they release a new improved model. He told me he has heard or read that the Ipilot and Ipilot link will be replaced by a different GPS system. Makes sense since they are so similar there's probably no need to keep making both. Does anyone know more about any of this, and more importantly to me, when it might be released? Thanks in advance.

No. There are still some non Quest Ulterras, but, if I am interpreting the MK site correctly, they are avaiable in 45 and 60 inch shaft lengths in straight 24 volt models.

Yes, I am pretty certain that is correct now. According to MK rep all the new Ulterras will be equipped with I-PILOT LINK capability going forward, but it is no longer called link. I think it was this change in nomenclature that had me thrown off, as some ads and sites still list list some models as "link" and others not.

It is now called one boat network where you can link all of your MK devices. You can use the app on your phone.
