    Wire wrapping jig/spinnerbait skirts??

Need how-to's on wire-wrapping jig/sbait skirts on baits currently with rubber collars??
Collars are deteriorating, skirts shifting, etc.
What type wire (stainless, silver-plated, copper), what gauge, what wrap(twisted wire, slip-loop), any other suggestions? What is a good twist/ slip-loop??
    Pics appreciated!

I've bought wire-wrapped baits from several sponsors and from here-to-fore will only buy wire or kevlar thread wrapped skirts, BUT i still have plenty of baits that I would like to salvage---pls help!

I use 24 guage also, I know some have recommended 22 guage but it seems to heavy for me

Thanks guys! How do you wrap the wire?? Do you make a few turns over the skirt and just twist the wire around itself and then clip ends??
I was chatting w/ a local guy who makes some jigs for personal use, he talked about some kind of "slip-loop knot" to do his wraps, but i couldn't follow his description....
Any tips on starting/finishing the wrap itself? Thax!

Only wrap twice. Cross the tag ends, pull hard and twist just to snug. Cut extra wire off and bend down.
