It’s pretty simple, they (most ppl) do not believe they would have been competitive. Comparing it to other years lacks the context of the other years. So who are we leaving out? You have all conference champs, 2 undefeated with terrible resumes and 2 with one loss and top 7 resumes…oh by the way FSU has #55 SoR and no starting qb.

Fair enough. Let's say it wasn't Alabama who lost to Texas at home, almost lost to a really bad Auburn team, and barely beat Georgia. Let's say it was Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee, or some other mid-grade SEC team. You think that team is getting the 4 seed?

It is supposed to be the team that is playing the best at the end. FSU can be bummed, but they did not get the shaft like some fans and their politicians are crying about (they are down to their 3rd string QB and the offense reflected this). This year proved that they need to expand as there weren't any really dominant teams. I still think any one of the 4 programs that are in can win it all.

Probably so because the committee is infatuated by offense and defense doesn't matter. They don't care about FSU only giving up 21 points in the last two games, even with a "horrible offense" that should've put even more pressure on their defense.

Sure. Say they were ranked the same as Bama all year. Say what you want but I'm pretty sure most would agree that team would be outside looking in.

I agree - I was pretty upset by it all yesterday. Even though I can argue FSU and have no ties to them. All the other teams arguments are valid too. Needs to be a way where you play you're way in like the NFL.

Not sure I agree. TX front 4 will keep WU in 2nd long more times than not. Something they have not had to deal with in the Pac12. TX will control the clock and keep a potent offense on the sidelines. Sarch won't get into a shootout.

I agree. If Penix gets into 3rd and long he starts to get impatient and tries to force it.

I hope you’re right, our secondary (safeties) are very suspect. I see them using a lot of slide protections to try to negate our tackles. Thankfully Penex doesn’t run that much.
