It’s a BS excuse by the committee. When Ohio State won it a few years ago, there on their 3rd string QB as well. It’s about the $$$ and nothing more.

Yeah the difference is Ohio looked great with their backup QBs and FSU did not.
Yeah everyone watched the game. Their defense looked better than any top 4 team without question.

Which Alabama team did the committee put through last night? The one that beat Georgia or the one that needed a miracle to beat a 6-5 Auburn team just a couple weeks ago? This is why the full season and not just "eye test" should matter
This QB wounldn't see the field anyway for the bowl game. Their 2nd string QB would have played, and he's done ok. I heard no mention of that point though.
A 1 loss SEC champion is better than a no loss ACC champion. This is the best case scenario for FS. They can whine they didn't get in and not get embarrassed on the field. I don't have a dog in the fight either.

Unfortunately, the last impression is the one that stands out most...
