Being a Tide fan I am pleasantly surprised that we got in. Would not have surprised me at all if we didn't. There were several deserving teams to choose from. For all you folks that keep harping on the 4th and 31 win over Auburn....you just don't get it. It's the Iron Bowl, THE game of the year for both teams. It's comparable to a # 1 and # 2 team competing in spite of either team's records. Most years you never know what the outcome will be. There's been years when the Tide was a big favorite and lost. Likewise for Auburn. Both find a way to win. It is a highly competive game.

Michigan is only school besides Georgia that was a legitimate #1 in the rankings.

If they had beat anyone of note maybe they would be in the thick of it. They had one opportunity to win against another top opponent and lost. Playing a schedule full of mostly cupcakes has it's positives and negatives. If they had beat Michigan they would for sure have been in assuming they did not get upset by Iowa but I could not imagine that happening.

Hard to get in without a loss without winning your division. Georgia did not get in and they were #1, won their division, narrowly got beat by a top team, and had not lost a game for several years.

This is the first time an undefeated Power 5 conference champ won't be in the playoffs. $hitty precedence.

Because the Big 10 is heavily weighted to the East...Making it to the Championship doesnt change.the fact that they lost to the number 1 team in the country and deserve as much consideration as Alabama....It's pretty hard to argue against that case..

I think they got it mostly right. FSU have no problem with them not being there... Good Defense but with 3rd or 2nd they are not the same team as they were. Would have been this years ND or TCU even.

With them putting AL in (have to have SEC Champ it appears), they had to put TX in. Personally I would have liked to have seen GA over WA but that would never happen. So they mostly got it right, unlike so many previous years. I still think MI is overrated and ALA should handle them pretty easily. I figure AL TX rematch for the NC.

    IMO, anyway lol.

Having said all that, if UGA doesn't boatrace FSU I will look like an idiot. This is why I hate bowl games - plenty of players now sitting out if not playing for a natty, so you don't get the true team. GA is guilty of this in the past :(.

Ohio State beat a Number 9 a Number 7 and lost to a number 3 ....currently number 1...
Far from an Ohio state fan but if your going.to justify Alabama getting in the case is just as strong for Ohio State...
Either way Florida State should have gotten in with their record and ACC championship...
The NCAA needs to run the playoffs more like the NFL....Let the records decide not a committee's bias opinion.

Everyone is talking about the SEC and how good or bad the conference is. Take a minute and look at the Big10. Not too many good teams in that conference. Way more absolutely bad teams than good teams there. I believe 6 teams with a winning record and two at 6-5. SEC is way better than the Big10

I’ve always though a P5 (soon to be P4) Conference Champion should be an automatic birth. I don’t like figure skating, beauty pageants, gymnastics or politics and the current format and the BCS are basically the same thing.

OSU would b in IF they had won or at least played in their conference championship. OSU has no gripe.

Just what I have been saying. The big 10:is a weak conference and almost every year OSU is over ranked by about 5:spots.

FSU might have made it in if the committee didn’t watch that game against Louisville. That game was Bad.
