Question Remote drain plug at console

    Hey ya'll
I have a 2016 819 Pro and am wanting to install a flo-rite remote drain plug and have the lever up by the driver seat. Big open space to the right of seat. Anybody put theirs up there or just leave it in battery compartment?

You can put it there and it will work fine. I prefer using the shorter 6’ length and mounting it in the splashwell. Either way a great upgrade.

Splashwell works great, and can be opened/closed while attaching/unattaching the transom tiedowns.

Longer the run and more bends /turns the wire needs to make is higher risk for reliability issues

Mine is inside the battery compartment with my power switches so I can twist them all on/off at the same time

Put mine there and has been great so far (1 Season).
FYI, you will need an adapter plate to get the plug to fit correctly at the bilge - https://catchalimit.com/collections/drain-it-adapter

Took the external charger cord receptacle out and used a file to open up the hole a bit and put my remote faceplate right in that hole for the drain plug. Attached the charge cord to the top of the compartment lid so when I open the lid, the cord hangs there for me to plug in.

Great idea, I'll have to do that. I only attached a string to the cord and the other end to the lift cylinder so I could always find the cord. lol

Great Idea, would you mind posting some pics of the install?

I'm interested in doing this on my 618. Are all the drain plugs the same across the enter line?

The swtich is a direct fit to that plug hole - 3" if I remember correctly. I just zip tied the charger plug to the top of one of my batteries.
