Interesting person to highlight… what about the story of him blowing out the allison with the yammie and loosing total control and there being some severe injuries? Was he still a good driver that day?

Is that like a Captain Obvious question? No one ever said bass boats, much less fast boats were without risks.

I dunno, you said the guy in OP’s video looked like a good driver to you. Looked reckless as all out to me, he’s passing people within feet and very close to the rocky shore at extreme high rates of speed. Captain Obvious? Lol

I believe the lens in the camera is distorting a bit, not as close as you think.

Ain't that the truth! Back in 2005 my son and I was fishing a small tournament on Guntersville the same time a BFL was. We got behind some islands on a small flat and watched as they came by. It looked like something out of a movie with all the boats crossing the wakes. One boat decided to cut through this little flat we were on. Depth was 2-4 feet. When he turned to go through I've never seen a boat that far up on it's side!! He never lifted.

Two questions. What type of life vest is the passenger wearing and what did he pass by at the 2:23 mark?

This why tournament fishing should be banned, and no one needs more than 100 horsepower to catch bass.

The Stratos life vest was good for an additional 10 mph.

As someone who owns slow boats, I didn’t see anything that I thought was wrong, dangerous, etc. Although I noticed what looked like some shallow shoals he went over but if they were dangerous I’d have to believe they would be marked with buoys . Looking at the boats and terrain I’m thinking Ontario and if so he’s using some expensive gas. I wonder what his gallons per hour consumption rate is?

Yes, in machines with roll cages, seat belts, harnesses, fire suits, window nets and most importantly, they ride solo. Anyone who says they'd be OK with a driver like the guy in the video driving like that with their mom in the passenger seat is either a liar or a complete moron.

I'd say MPG is irrelevant to him. Just fill her up and let it rip.
