I thought most tournaments had a 250 hp max.

The guys in the Tracker with the 115 Merc were probably sipping coffee, thinking "WTH was that?!?".

The guy that works on my motor is a Bullet Merc dealer and boat racer. According to him a properly set up 20' Bullet with s 300 is a 110 mph boat.

I don’t get why so many people are hung up on “no rods on the deck.” It means nothing. We never pull out rods until first spot and put all rods up before returning for weigh in. I guess for those of you that pull out 30 rods on deck it’s a big deal. Maybe you’re pulling out that many rods to confuse people or really don’t know what you’re going to fish. Every tournament we know what baits we are going to start with and it’s usually only about 2-3 rods each. It has nothing with driving a fast boat & slinging rods off the front deck.

That’s Marty’s old boat. It was/is a beast. He’s made a ton of those blast off’s. Heck of a driver. His new Bullet is wicked! A beautiful boat!

Why the hell would anyone in their right mind keep rods on the deck when they’re running 80-90+ MPH?

Looked like all day every day, nothing like sandbagging the blast off. Plus, it makes old guys pull their hair out lol.

The people he passed should have known he was coming. I just fished a tournament Sunday on the Ohio River and as I was making a little 15 mile run my head was on a swivel looking for the guys that I knew would overtake me at some point. They should have been looking over their shoulder occasionally so they don't turn into a boat coming around. This video was just another normal run from a guy a with a fast boat, good driver and didn't do anything treacherous. Some of you need to get out more.

Reprogramming the computer, you can get about 330 hp out of a Yamaha 200-250 SHO by flashing it.

Rods out or not first one to the spot Wins!

So if you have rods out running 60 but don't at 90, how long would the run need to be to not make a difference?

Did the slower boats with rods out have the proper lures tied on?

Looks like he's a good driver to me. Those blast off's are not for the faint of heart. I prefer the cushy 21 Bullet but the 20's will flat haul butt! Good ole Todd Morgan blew past me one time back when he had one with an offshore motor on the back, liked to suck the gel coat off my little 18 footer with a 150 Yamaha when he blew past on Center Hill.

No responsibility for the guy traveling at excessive speed, coming up from behind boaters, and passing well inside 50 feet, six and a half minutes later?

Have you ever taken a boaters safety course?

USCG Navigation Rule 13 doesn’t say a damn thing about “should have known he was coming”.

I couldn’t help but laugh at that myself… common sense wasn’t a genetic gift for everyone apparently hahaha
