In the older years JD Power had that information in detail and that was a decade of tremendous knowledge. In more recent years we run an independent survey (not BCB managed) at least every (3) years, sometimes two, of all of our product sold. We also add a representative number of brands considered as competitive, sold new, and those addresses are in an independent data base. We don't survey owners of low volume builders.

We actually found most new Nitro owners to be somewhat higher aged, We also found an interesting study of 175 Pro Team aluminum model owners. Those owners were an average age of around 58 YO, at that time. Seems like empty nesters on the aluminum and fixed income on the fiberglass made those decisions. Which actually is a good backbone for BPS and their market.

This is the best advice on this thread. I’m a Ranger to BCB guy and did exactly this. Yep a BCB is in the shop no regrets.

Whatever one you get, make sure it has a Yamaha SHO on it.

I used to sell both brands. Both are good boats and companies. They both take care of their customers thru excellent customer service after the sale and that is something you don’t see these days.

Basscat Cougar all day. Now if you said Phoenix 920 or 921 PHX that would be a different story and a case could be made depending on what you are looking for. I don’t see any reason to choose a 721 over a Cougar.

The voice of reason ! None of this hands down this boat is the best bs, most owners say their boat is the best blah blah blah, I have been in both brands, like a lot of things about each of them, there is no perfect boat imo. I don't have either brand, I think my brand is the best out there lol.

Pretty much. They've been doing it about as long as anyone else.

Which brand of boat is usually tied to what the local dealer is selling. Here in East Tn there are a ton of Phoenix and only a couple of Basscat all due to the fact there are no close dealers.
