    At 1

Can I run at1 transducer with at2 module. Thanks. At1 box failed I would buy at2 module now, and at2 transducer later.

Several retails selling NIB complete AT1's for under a grand now, so keep that in mind if considering Lowrance's reduced price for a replacement box.

Lowrance sent an AT transducer back instead of replacement module. Called today and technician said they have no at1 gonna send at2. Assured me it would work. Said it will ship in 5-7 days. I asked if I could keep new at1 transducer,, he said yes. He is sending a return label for old td. Man I sure hope module works.

Just curious, did the box actually smoke? I plugged power into mine and could’ve sworn that I saw a tiny amount of smoke come out of it. Now I have either no bottom signal or it’s very faint when I can see it.

My AT1 was acting up after a year without issues. Would display no source, then after a few minutes start working and so on and so forth. I called lowrance, suggested I update to latest software so I did. Seemed to take and run fine in garage. Went fishing thenext day and unit displayed no source. I looked at control box and no lights. Checked fuses and connections on water no issues. When I got back home I tested the power cable to the box and was getting full power. Box was fried, lowrance is sending me new box. Not sure was caused the issue but hope this one is good and it wasn't the update.

Yes. After replacing the fuse, and trying to power it up it smoked where the transducer connects, then popped the fuse.

It was supposed to be delivered yesterday via Fedex. It was a no show. I think they deliver on Sunday. We'll see.
I will report back after I get it. Thanks

I can confirm AT1 transducer does work with AT2 module. I have not seen it in action, but he said it seems to look better further out. I did put a new AT1 transducer with the new module.
On another note,I have another AT1 module failure at 26 months old.

How often is your AT running when you pull the TM or pole? Do you shut off power to the AT on the trip home or wait till you get home?

AT is on a dedicated graph, it does not have any other transducer. I turn it on at my first spot and turn it off the the last time I pull it out of the water.

So you are not using Stop Sonar when you take it out of the water? if that is the case that could be what is shorting the life of your units Especially in Texas Heat. Stop Sonar kills the transducer from pinging out of the water.. THen if you don't kill the power on your boat when you come out of the water and your unit is turned off then it will start pinging again on the ride home.

Sorry for the long delay just finished a 3 day tourny. So I do not use stop sonar. The most my tm is out of the water is less than 5 min at a time. Maybe 20 min in a day. I have heard forever turn it off or melt the transducer, but never, turn it off or fry the module. This live stuff is all new tech to me. Does stop sonar in AT shut down the module? Thanks.

No It does not that is what the yellow wire is for, Stopping the pinging is what reduces your draw. The box by itself is not very much with the Stop Sonar ON. When the Transducer is out of the water and in 100 deg weather in Tx. It reduces its life. When it running then the processor in the box is being worked and that increases the heat of the box at the same time. It just a good habit to use stop sonar on AT for good long life otherwise you will be replacing a transducer sooner that you really have to. Its pretty suprising if you pull the TM leave on the AT transducer within 2 mins you will not beable to touch the transducer. Add mother nature temps and its overtaxed.

Always use Stop Sonar. Just wish they would make it an option for the Quick Keys. You can stop 2D, stop Structurescan, take a screenshot, drop PP, but you can't stop AT with a single Quick Keys. Come on Lowrance. Shouldn't be a difficult software update.
