    deep warter bass fishing!!!

What is the deal? do i drive a round the lake find small humps, brush piles or anything thats hold fish. Throw out a bouyo and start fishing? If there no fish move on and find another spot? Also how deep do i start looking for these spots?
    Please any help.

I am with you. trying to get better myself. I started with a good map and GPS. I found sharp breaks on sides of long points or flats and humps and saddles between islands and shore and started there. then I just drove around the areas looking for other cover on the structure. fish are not necessary on your graph. I drop bouys on sharp breaks and near cover and just fish them.

Part of your sucess in deep water will be determined by the number of spots that you find with all the right stuff..food, structure, temp, and oxygen level. Even when you have everything right, the fish as you have found wont always be there, so mark enough spots to check so that you can hit several through the day. Once you have fished them all out, go back and check them again.

I love that lake! Fished it last year in late June...absolutely wore them out except on the day that counted!

I envy you being so close to such an awesome fishery!!!
