here is a little review i did after we bought ours.. there are some replies featuring other brands also which may be helpful.
personally the vortex quality, customer service and unlimited/unconditional lifetime warranty makes me a lifetime customer.

also, at the top right of the main page you will find "search forum". click the drop down arrow and type binoculars there and you will get tons of hits and information

Vortex does have a better marketing campaign which is evident. Lol.[/QUOTE]

I too have noticed this with rifle scopes. I have looked at several scopes at the range. Vortex gets a lot of love but several scopes are much clearer, brighter and sharper for close to the same money but no where near the advertisement.

    I highly recommend Meopta.

you won't be disappointed and you saved some serious $$.. We spent a lot of time in Glacier, Canada, Yellowstone and other parts of northern Wyoming and Colorado last summer and watched wildlife at some good distances. We were very satisfied with our Vipers.

I'm sure the Swarovskis or Zeiss class optics are great but for what we do so are the Vortex and I can use the big $ saved to fund another trip up north lol!

Actually I have never seen an advertisement for Vortex,,, I admit though I don't subscribe to hunting channels or mags etc.. when I made my decision it was based on overwhelming satisfaction from tons of real world users and reviewers I researched on the net..

You will be satisfied as long as you don’t look through a pair of Swaro’s or other alpha glass. I took the family on a little wildlife tour and I gave my wife one of my pairs of Vortex Vipers, which are about $600, and she was enjoying watching the various animals when I handed her my Swaro EL’s that I was using and I said, look through these. She threw them up, looked through them for about 2 seconds and then spun around and gave me a bad look and said “how much did these cost”? I just laughed and said, well whatever it was they were obviously worth it, huh, honey. The point is, even a casual user, with no experience comparing optics, could obviously and immediately tell that the Swaro’s were in a different class.
the funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it

Zeiss for about a grand. I think I gave a couple grand for mine years ago. But the Zeiss is really good for the money! Son has a pair. Some difference between mine and his but it’s not much. Not 1500$ worth!

I just picked up a pair of the Vortex Razor UHD 10x50. Awesome birdwatching glass for the price I paid. That's specifically what I got them for.

For birding, a 7 or 8 power is best.

I bought these Olympus 10 x 25 compact waterproof binoculars a couple of years ago.very impressed with how clear and powerful they are. we use for bird watching, whale watching, and spotting birds when out fishing.

Best of all is the price. Far less than what you are prepared to pay.

And they have a 25 years guarantee!!

Here is a review with details of the features of these great binoculars
