I use a 7.1:1 or a 7.5:1
Will often have a fish swim towards me after being hooked and I feel like it helps me a bit in catching up to them.

There's no apostrophe
Yes. I don't even own a reel that's less than 7:1 anymore.
I use a 7.1 for 1.5 and 2.5 sized ones. I'll drop down to a 6.3 for the bigger ones.

I stick with 6.3 for just about everything. Never been a fan of higher speed reels and they seem to separate themselves too far from the general purpose pack for what I do.
2023 Xpress H18 with 115 SHO that's optioned to fit my wants and pulled by a little Ram.
Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Just smile and walk away.
I’ve tried but my I catch less fish on it. Just forget to slow down.
I use revo rocket and works fine. Rick Clunn said he learned from an old expert to crank thar squarebill as fast as you can it works!

6.3:1 even for the 1.5s for me.
Depends on time of year and situation. I'll fish them from a 5:3:1 to 7:3:1.

Yes.
I honestly believe I get more bites on a 5:3 but I land more fish on the 6:4 I use.
I use 8 or above cranking a square bill.
Nope, cranking big square bills with a 7:1 ratio all day wears you out, it's a 5:1 ratio for me.
.
8.1 here. Caught thousands of fish that way.
