I used to fish there a lot and there is a lot of backwater you can get to. Good place to fish and not see anyone.

Whats everyone fantasy team looking like? Going with the favorites or going with some of the lower percentage pick?

I am excited to see Poche on this one. He has already started the trolling on this one saying hes not even gonna practice. Also ready to see Hackney, Christie and possibly even Rivet break this one down because its getting warm quick no huge rains recently so salinity will be up.

For some reason I think Welch's might have a great tournament. He is due for a win. I hope BP shows out.

watched the 2002 Red River Bassmaster show. That is a cool river as well. Fun to watch. Day two leader Rojas DQ'd for fishing off limit waters, then gets to be on TV as an Analyst. Apparently he reported himself after he reread the rules. Class act.

Feider says he knows who is gonna win and it’s someone he doesn’t care for. Wonder who?

Yep. I saw a picture of a guy here in VA catch a flounder the other day on the Chickahominy River flipping lily pads. Been so dry there hasn’t been anything to flush the salinity out.

I like watching these type more than open water but also like fishing them more also. Open water is great when on a school of fish otherwise I find it boring when they aren't biting.

Good shallow water tourny with long runs and very limited FFS. Only thing would make it better is if the state of Louisiana would fix the grey area on public/private waters and they could fish LA waters as well.

I always look forward to seeing this one also. Similar to the waters I fish.

Last year on the Potomac the salt wedge moved up pretty high. I was cast-netting about mid-river for shad and I caught some Spot and a little flounder. Pretty cool, except that salinity can also kill a lot of SAV so those drought years can really kill a fishery. Look what saltwater did to Back Bay.

You have to love a fishery that has numbers, even if they aren't that big.

he also said the guy "might have his first good elite series event" -- any guesses who he was talking about?

I don't think so, because poche has had some very good elite series events and feider specified the angler he was talking about, possibly having his first good elite series event.

Has Poche had a good Elite series event this year? Feider didn’t pull any punches when he said he doesn’t like people who try to benefit from the grey area of the rules.

maybe he was talking about just this year. If he was, there's a lot of guys (poche included) that he could be referring to.
