Really looking forward to watching this one. Love that place. Fish might be small but it's a blast to fish there. Pretty cool to pass freighter ships and cargo ships while running around.

It’s funny, we assume because of the low weights it’s an absolute brutal fishery. But hearing pros talk about it, apparently lots of fish live all over the place, and getting bites isn’t all that hard.

It's a lot like the James River here. We may have a bigger tidal swing and we have bigger fish but it looks a lot like the James, cypress trees, cargo ships, crab pots, osprey, etc.

River dink fest! Hundreds of better fisheries they could go but money must be good in Orange or whatever host city,
Give me cypress trees and muddy water any day. Maybe we can go a week with out spinning reels and little minnow baits.
What's the weather going to be like next week for the tournament?
Will be good to watch one that's not FFS

Looking forward to it! I’ll never forget Hackney catching them on a buzzbait down the middle of the creeks.
I live in Orange, Texas and fish the Sabine River weekly. Lots of bass biting around marsh drains on falling tide and in back waters around cypress trees and grass. It has always been a fun place to fish. Some days you catch 10-12 bass when it is tough fishing, but most days you can catch 20-30 bass when you find the bait fish around good cover relating to moving water. Lots of 8-10 lb bass have been caught over the years on the north end of the river above Deweyville. A buddy and I caught three bass over 6 lbs on buzz baits one morning in an oxbow lake. Nobody talks much about the bigger bass on the north end, but the south end is loaded with bass that average smaller. There are a few 4-5 lb bass caught on the south end, but you have to spend a lot of time on the water.
A unique fishery, I’m glad BASS goes to places like the Sabine. I’d like to see them return to the Delaware River.

Bet Ike is worried since he once put his boat out of the water into the trees at an event there

Certainly, a tourney where the old school bank beaters can shine.
I like the high risk, high reward tourneys where guys are making 1.5 hour runs.

I will probably watch this one, more my type of fishing.
