The one you own.
The one you own.
The one that you get a deal that you are comfortable with and serves you well. It's similar to buying an automobile these days--there aren't really significant differences to make one make better than the other.
I have wanted a late model Bass Cat for the last several years but my 2005 Triton 21X just keeps on working. The overall performance, ride and layout of this boat is hard to beat.
The one that's paid for and still runs good...lol
Mine since it's the only one I have

Mine cause it's paid for.
My paid for Ranger Z119C in the garage.
Depends on the water you fish. A boat like poche runs is great if you backwaters, but may not be the best for ledge fishing or long runs. And vice versa
So far BCB has the best answer. ALL boats are a compromise. I chose the boat I have now because I wanted a utilitarian pad hull with a bass boat layout and more room up front than my previous boat had. It's probably not dolled out enough for most on here and I really don't care because it was the right choice for me. Choices are good!

Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Just smile and walk away.
The one you can easily afford
The answer also differs depending on the region you live in as well. Ideally for me I would have 3 boats. My Bass Cat Eyra for tournaments and general bass fishing. A 14’ 48” bottom all welded aluminum with a 40 horse tiller for crabbing and crawfishing and marsh hopping. A 24’ bay boat for inshore/slightly off shore coastal fishing. For now my Eyra is getting the job done for me. I doubt I’ll ever own a bay boat but the little aluminum is defiantly in my future.
Being paid for is a big deal to me.My current boat is 14yrs old and probably my last since i'm 62.Owing on one is not fun when you go through periods when you ain't into it or it is hunting season.
The newest one with the longest loan and highest APR
LOL did I hear right where some were letting people finance out to 25 years now instead of just 20?
It's my opinion that if it will take longer than 5 years to pay off a truck or boat I can't afford it. Some on here will say if you can't walk in and pay cash you can't afford it.
