Finish 11th today. Get a check. Drive to the Classic start tomorrow and get a check and make his sponsors happy. Maybe end up On-Em and win the thing. Seems like a plan to me.

He has a camera guy in his boat when he films off the grid. Probably a lot less equipment though.

Does he carry an official with him then too to weigh his fish?

Classic doesn't start until Friday the 24th right? They are 3 day events. They may have other obligations they have to handle at site? .. But he may be able to fish a final day with BPT if he makes it.

I really like watching Poche. This two tour deal he is trying to pull of simply has way too many conflicts to not effect his performance on both tours. Buy totally missing an entire regular season Elite series event he has somewhat made a statement that his priorities are in fishing MLF. If he lays up today in his MLF event and doesn't preform so he can be eliminated to fish the Classic it obviously effects him in MLF. Whatever he chooses I wish him well but I think he should commit to one tour and if he wants to do a side adventure pick something has no conflicts that will impact the primary tour level he is fishing.

He was able to squeeze in all 9 opens last year plus MLF. I think his results were okay.

I think most of these guys have fished the TN river system enough that most of them could still catch fish without any practice and the way conditions are changing right now I don't think it matters.

Sounds like BASS did not make it mandatory to be at the official practice day today or media day tomorrow. If that's the case, he can finish his MLF event without interruption OTHER than driving down to the classic meeting on his off day.
That said, I bet BASS has never dealt with someone wanting to skip out on activities of their "Super Bowl of Bass Fishing." Don't get me started on comparing it to the Super Bowl. Worst marketing idea I've ever heard. Let your event stand on it's own two legs if it's the best/biggest in the fishing game.

I’m sure Poche thought It through everyone. It’s ok.

He's less than a pound away from making the top ten cut. He better slow down or he'll make the cut.

Yup, way too much speculation and reading into things that really only Poche knows. I enjoy and respect his style of fishing and thought process of getting away from the crowd; doing things his way in a non-glitter rocket, kinda like John Cox.

I don’t really understand the hang up with terms like “glitter rocket” and when pros are paid to use aluminum boats. It’s not like these are poor man’s Jon boats they are using…every single one of them are strapped with a 250 and cost more than my “glitter rocket”…

But not more than their competitors’ glitter rockets.
