    Pasquotank Report

The P-Tank is alive and well... Our BassAckwards club tourney was held there today and most everyone caught fish....Congrats to Bill Murtha (Billy Bass) for his second place finish...Personally, I caught over 30 fish just not the right ones... The topwater bite was on, I had a limit by 7:30, several others reported the same as far as number of fish caught...Daryl (Big Johnson) had a limit as well...Just thought I would share the good news concerning the Tank....Again, congrats to Bill...

Yes I was just looking at the weights from today and I guess I did not realize how many fish were caught today..

Of 15 boats there were 35 fish with a total weight of almost 70 lbs.
I learned though stay away from the stink and if you find an area with fish stay there.. I personally could not get bit until almost noon and then caught like 8 fish in 2 hours all within about 150 yards of each other.. All but two between 12 and 13.5 inches though.

Congrats to those who really figured it out early!!

Some good advice stay in the Pasquotank find good water and enjoy the fishing, don't burn 35 gallons of gas for one 15 inch fish. No that funny since I was the one that did it SORRY PERRY!!!!! Great job Bill!!!

Thanks all, it was an extremely long day that turned out pretty well. I didn't get my first keeper in the boat till 12:55 when I found a shell bar that was holding a bunch of fish. Caught 13 fish between 12:55 and 1:30, with 4 keepers going 9.95 lbs. Sure wish I could've got that 5th fish.

    Re: Pasquotank Report (BBBAC1)

Well it looks like it is not all bad news. We know that parts of the Chowan, most of the Roanoke, and the Scuppernog Rivers were affected really hard. But from the tournament & fishing reports Back Bay, North River, Pasquotank River, Perquimans River and the Yeopim River have bass and bass ready to eat. The one thing to remember though is that we more than likely lost most of this years spawn and somewhere down the road we will have to pay with harder limit catches.
