    Huge Heart fan here (saw them with the Eagles and LRB early on). If I had to pick one vocalist, I'd give Allison Krauss my vote.

    Especially anything she recorded with Union Station (Oh Brother, where art thou soundtrack), and she's cut two albums with Robert Plant.

    I keep a close eye out on new artists coming up onto the music scene. Of those I've seen lately, I think Angelina Jordan will be an excellent combination of jazz and pop. She cut her teeth doing covers of classic jazz singers like Holliday, Washington and Winehouse, but holds her own very well on Whitney, Adele and Lana Del Ray covers. Republic Records think so too- they signed her when she was 14 years old (16 now) and she's about due to release her album of original written music.
