Lake Norfork is the usual location. I was planning on attending back when I owned a Puma. I spoke to both Ron and Rick Pierce about that tournament while I was visiting them at the factory...I think that was in Nov/Dec 04. Anyway, if youre a Basscat owner, I highly recommend going. They normally have some of their touring pro's up on the stage. I believe they still give away 2 brand new boats as draw prizes!

Rob's right. Lake Norfork, Mountain Home, AR. Largest, best run tournament I've ever been to. I think last year they had just short of 600 boats. You would be amazed at how well the flight blast offs go. Very safe with even breaks for boats coming in for later flights. Good times and a chance to win a new rig and other great prizes. I've gone the last 2 years and I'm really looking forward to going again.

My first year as a BCB owner. I don't think I will make the drive this year. May be next.

Ed, if you can make it, I think you'ld have a great time. Besides the boats, prizes etc, they normally have the Elite Pros. These guys will give you as much time as you want talking with them. Ike talked with me for like 20-25 minutes, until I ran out of stuff to ask off the top of my head. Naturally after I walked away, I thought of another hours worth of stuff.

How many hours does it normally take you to get there pulling a boat. That seems like a verrrrrry long drive..Can't wait to go one day either..

    Re: BassCat Invitational (mcherry)

For me Virginia Beach), it's around 20 hours. Yes it's a long drive, but I break it up into a couple of legs. I make it into an eight day trip or so. Fishing was great last year. I was avg. 40 fish a day by myself. Year before that, I can't brag about. They had Soooo much rain, that the water was like creamed coffee and they had all the dam flood gates open on all of the lakes. Normally the water color has a green tint like Gaston and is very clear. The water didn't effect the tournament though. It was still a good time. They sstill had stuff set up for the wives and kids that weren't fishing.

16.25 hrs. I guess you were moving. Hauling the boat and a full tournament load plus, I take it easy and rarely get over 65mph. 16hrs to Memphis and another 4 after that.

Not sure where you are in VA, but run Interstate 64 through Ky to St Louis. Easier run. Through Tenn, is long, but can be in Memphis in about 11-12 just dont like I40. Ky lake in 12-13. Made it to Columbus MS to fish Pool 13 and that is a hard non-stop 14-16 depending on the coffee and Red Bull stops.
