Had to leave 3-rivers early today motor quit running. Motor has always started fine never any issues then today right at blast off, got up on plane ran about 100 yards and the motor just quit running. Motor turns over fine but doesn't seem to get fire. Any suggestions before I calll my mechanic on Monday. I'm guessing power pack.
I was upset cause of the motor but not too upset about leaving, cause my hands and feet were freakin cold.
I don't reply much, but check the kill switch. I had the same problem a few years ago. Boat was running cut it off to fish a spot and then it would start back up. Was on the trolling motor back to ramp, checking to see if it would start and wouldn't. Trailered it home started thinking the worst and all it was, was a short in the kill switch. Easy fix. A couple guys fishing another tourney at Gaston this weekend had a problem with the kill switch. Seems the heavy rains might have had something to do with it. They couldn't make it back for thier weigh-in.

Levi, your new motor doens't have a power pack...
I have unfortunately gained a lot of experience working on late model ficht motors as all on here well know with my motor exploits on my old stratos....if you need any help don't hesitate to give me a holler......

Another easy to check item is the ignition switch, they also ground out (it happened to me).
