    Spark Plug Question???

I just want to make sure I am pointing the center electrode in the correct direction. I've drawn arrows to show the area pointing towards the injector in which the electrode needs to face and fall within. Is this correct?

If ya mean the opening of the electrode and the arrows indicating the end of the anode, it should be good.

Actually the open end of the electrode can be 90° on either side line drawn between the injector tip and the center of the sparkplug hole.

In your picture of the upper (#1) injector and sparkplug, that would be roughly between an imaginary line drawn from the top left head bolt to the casting rib between the numbers 13 and 9 on the right side of the head.

Are you saying that it's within tolerance if the open end of the spark plug falls within the arrows I've highlighted in RED?

move the lower red arrow to a point between the numbers 9 and 13. You will have a total of 180° of area to point the plug gap.

But the point is the closer you are to the injector the better off you are.

That's what I do, I'll take the extra time, and move plugs around to get as close as possible. They will run well within the markings of the green, as SeaHorse was saying, I prefer to stay within 180* tho....

OK, last time I'll say this. Take your green line that touches the rib between the #9 and #13 and attach it to the red line whose arrowhead is touching the upper left head bolt. The resulting straight line composed of the red and the green lines shows the 180° range that the sparkplug gap can face for best results.
