Josh, you will need to check and/or replace the following items, spark plugs, gear lube, grease all fittings, check throttle and ignition linkage, check for loose fasteners.
You may want to install a new water pump too.
Josh, Em's some gooooodddd motors! Take care of it and it will take care of you! I fished out of em 3 cyls for years!!
When you prime the bulb up keep an eye on the carb gaskets as they may have dried out and you may need to rebuild the carbs (wouldn't hurt). CM
One other thing, look at the overboard discharge hose (pee tube) if the hose runs from the bottom of the left side (exhaust plate) and straight across to the right side to the outlet fitting, replace the hose.
You will need about 3 feet of hose, you want to run the new hose from the exhaust plate up over the top of the cylinder head and back down to the outlet, this will allow the motor to fill with water so it will cool correctly.
There is a service bulletin about some other cooling modifications along with relocating the outlet for the overboard discharge hose.
