    overheated motor??? Now what??

    today I had a tourney and didn't notice water pressure till the alarm went off. shut it down and it smelled bad and was smoking.Sucked some grass or smuck up .What do I do now how do I clean it all out just pull most of it off the screens on the lower end and do I have to do something like backwashing or air hose to it????

    Al - I would backflush it for starters with a garden hose and your hookup by the telltale...Clean the screens and that area thoroughly, and see what comes out when you backflush.

    I would drop the lower and check the water pump, you may have killled the impeller, from lack of water.

    tried backflushing it and cleaned the screens the best I could put it on the hose and the alarm will not shut off.Now what?? is there still an obstuction not getting a reading at the guage at idle?? Time for a new water pump???
